I've liked the letter K for ever since years ago...
It's kind of like a Kite...
Like a beautiful Kite floating high in the sky...
It came into my life for the first time in June.
Ah, no—maybe in May... ...years ago...
It entered my life in friendly and funny ways. It was showing off its beauty... while flying in the sky... trying to get my attention more and more.
I looked up. I looked at it.
The Kite was indeed radiant.
It swept me off my feet.
But I never wanted to grab the Kite's string and play with it. 'Cause I was scared that it would hurt my hands and make them bleed.
So, I just enjoyed looking at its radiance whenever it came closer to me.
As far as I knew, the Kite itself wouldn't want to fall, either.
The Kite would rather have stayed in the sky.
It didn't want to tangle its string around any trees, or even around any hands on the earth.
'Cause the Kite had decided that the sky was the best place to fly around.
***
I'd never expected anything from the Kite 'cause I knew that doing so would only make me miserable.
Although I have to admit that doesn't mean I've stopped loving it.
But actually, it's so funny how I always tried so hard not to expect it to descend into my hands and tangle its string around them. Even, my brain kept telling me that the Kite never cared about me. I guess, I was just trying to protect myself... ...from getting hurt.
So, I'd always tried to control myself—not to look too high, to where its beauty was.
Yet, sometimes I still looked.
And sometimes I chose not to.
There was one time, after I'd held myself back every single day for a long time --from looking up at it--. I ended up looking at it for a while because I missed it so much.
And the Kite came to me, too...
Funnier than ever, teasing me a lot, just like it used to do... ...years ago...
However, I knew the happiness couldn't last long.
The Kite must have returned to the sky—where its home was.
So, I stopped looking up at the sky.
I turned my eyes down and took a few steps back toward where my own home was, too.
After a while, it turned out the kite was coming back to where we were..
The kite was so angry.
Because I was no longer there.
I was scared.
It made me cry.

--I've told you before...
I'd never expected anything from the Kite.
That's why I simply turned around and went home.
I never knew that the Kite would want to come back again while I was heading back to my own place.
---Maybe, if I had known it, I would have stayed there a little longer---
***
Then the Kite flew back into the sky, still angry.
It made me stop for a while because I felt so bad and I tried to find it.
I looked up at the sky hoping it would come to me again.
But the Kite didn't want to see me anymore.
And that made me decide to give up.
---I wish.. I didn't give up---
So, I decided to leave and promised it not to come back anymore.
Then, I carried on walking...
heading back, once again, to my own place,
with a lot of tears.
And I promised myself, too, to not look up at it anymore.
My face had been wet with enough tears just from looking up the Kite at the sky.
I don't know if I'd ever had the courage to hope that the Kite would tangle its string around my hands, I might have drowned in my own tears.
Anyway, I (still) love the Kite. But I love myself, too.
